History

Steeped in history, Wakefield Estate is named after settler Daniel Wakefield, who sailed from England in 1845 to establish a settlement in Blenheim, Ontario.

A true pioneer, Wakefield established a 50 acre working farm on the property. Over the following 30 years Wakefield and his growing family purchased surrounding land, ultimately building the timber frame barn and stone house which both stand on the property today.
